So here is the inside of the coat after turning it back to the right side. As you can see, the lining hem is machine stitched, but not pressed yet so it just kind of billows out at the bottom edge. I hand stitch the lining to the side edges at the vent and at the front sides where necessary. Again, if this were a darker color and heavier fabric, I would do this part on the sewing machine.
